Independent living: Wardwell Apartments

How much are the apartments?
For the most up-to-date costs, please see our finance page. Two bedroom units also pay the cost of electricity; those apartments include washer/dryer hookups. These are two story buildings, and second floor units have stairs. There is no income limit.

Are utilities included?
All utilities are included except your personal phone and cable TV. The two bedroom units in the Wardwell Apartments also pay their own electricity. There may be an additional cost for electricity if the usage is extremely high.

Do you have elevators?
No. The second floor units in the Wardwell Apartments have stairs. The Commons and the Terrace have elevators.

How long is the waiting list?
Our residents seldom move once they are part of the Wardwell Neighborhood. You should get your name on the waiting list as soon as you are interested.

Do I bring my own furniture?
Yes. The kitchen appliances are included.

Can I have a dog/cat?
The residents of the Wardwell have voted not to allow pets in the facility. Small pets are allowed in our HUD building (the Wardwell Commons), in accordance with HUD regulations.

Do you allow smoking?
The Wardwell Neighborhood is a non-smoking neighborhood.

Do you have storage?
The only storage is the closets in your apartment/room

Can I bring my car?
We have limited parking for residents. Residents have assigned one parking space. Since we are located downtown, few residents feel the need to bring their vehicles.
